Sustainable Water Solutions

Reaching a high level of resilience towards hydro-climatic extremes and water balance management

Work Packages

INTERLAYER is organized in the following six work packages

WP1

Project Management and Coordination

The overall objective of WP1 is to carry out the project management and coordination in accordance with the management structure and decision-making mechanisms of the INTERLAYER project.

WP2

Inventory of NBS for slow hydrology

The overall objective of WP2 is to develop an inventory of nature-based solutions (NBS) that combine additive results in surface water retention promoting slow hydrology for groundwater recharge, flood resilience and enhance ecosystem services at catchment level.

WP3

Demonstration in Living labs

The objective of WP3 is to align, compile and analyze findings from all INTERLAYER’s Living Labs demonstrations to support other WPs and to provide strong evidence based knowledge on INTERLAYER intervention practices and impact on extreme hydrology mitigation and ecosystem services at catchment level.

WP4

Monitoring and Modelling of the interlayer between surface and groundwater

The overall objective of WP4 is to develop the monitoring and modelling activities that enable the understanding of the interlayer between surface and groundwater (quality and quantity).

WP5

Transfer of InterLAYER findings to Policy, Business and Society

The objective of WP5 is to compile findings from all Living Labs and refine the achievements into INTERLAYER solutions and pathways for uptake in policy, business and society. This includes blue-prints for specific interventions and decisions support systems.

WP6

Dissemination, communication and exploitation

The overall objective of WP6 regards the dissemination, exploitation and communication activities of the project.
