INTERLAYER Project Consortium Meeting Vienna, 27.-28. April 2025

The INTERLAYER consortium came together in Vienna for an inspiring and productive project meeting from April 27–28, 2025.

The meeting began on Sunday afternoon with a field excursion along the Liesing River, where we visited two restored sections and a tributary in the upper catchment area. The on-site discussions allowed us to explore practical aspects of restoration and hydrological interventions in an urban context.

Monday was dedicated to presentations, workshops, and intense discussions on the project’s progress and next steps. With valuable contributions from all Living Labs—Portugal, Denmark, Romania, and Austria—we deepened our collaborative work across different geographical and cultural contexts.

Each day was rounded off with a delicious dinner in a welcoming atmosphere, providing space for informal exchanges, networking, and laughter.

To conclude our Vienna week, INTERLAYER was proudly represented at the EGU General Assembly on April 29th, sharing project insights with the broader scientific community.

We thank all partners for their active participation, great energy, and continued commitment to advancing slow hydrology interventions and water resilience across Europe!
