On September 30, 2024 was installed an automatic weather station in Guadiana living lab in Portugal. The variables under monitoring are the Air temperature and humidity, Wind speed and direction, Barometric pressure and Precipitation. The case study was set in Toutalga river, an intermittent river in Guadiana basin. The Toutalga sub-basin is located over an important aquifer in the area called the Moura-Ficalho aquifer. A monitoring program will be established in the area of the infiltration/retention basin with measurements of meteorological variables, water level, flow and quality, aquatic and terrestrial biological communities, water physico-chemical analysis, hydromorphological characterization and eDNA analysis.
